In this new series of paintings, I explore what happens to boundaries, self-imposed or not, when they are challenged. By confronting boundaries, like tearing down a wall, they become fragmented and easier to deal with. As you clean away the debris, fragments combine to create complex and beautiful patterns.

I have taken a single word in multiple colors and sizes and fragmented it in a circle that is expanding off the canvas. Unique edges are created to give the impression of dynamic containment that holds us in by our choice. By challenging all boundaries, we create our own context to live by.
