Mural Commission for The Hyde School

Snapshot of 4 of the 5 mural panels
This project was to create a piece of art for the entrance to the newly renovated boy’s dorm at the Hyde School in CT. The mural’s visual elements are the letters that make up the word HYDE and the theme is about the rich texture of the learning experience that children receive there.
As the project progressed, it became evident that the space required a piece of art that could withstand the rigors of dorm life but also have a strong enough presence and energy to draw people into the building. In the end the mural size became 36” x 180”, made up of five 36”x36” panels. Each of the panels where digitally produced, printed on canvas and stretched.
Special thanks goes to Jamie Delaney, A Hyde Parent, for being such a great partner on this journey.
